Maternity pictures!

A super sweet couple from my church is expecting their first child, a little girl, and they asked me to do their maternity pictures! We had a lot of fun...these are some of my favorites:

Senior Pictures!

I was asked to take senior pictures for a super sweet girl yesterday..on one hand I'm absolutely thrilled she wanted me to take them, but on the other, I feel super old, because she should still be like 10! Here are a few that I've edited already:

Jumping In!

This is the logo and the name my cousin and I came up with...thoughts? Comments? I'd love some feedback!

After much convincing from friends and family, I've finally decided to jump in! For $25, you'll get a session and a I'll put the finished pictures on a disk for you to to print them out or store them on your computer. It's taken me a little while to decide to do this, because honestly, I didn't want to seem presumptuous or arrogant. I kept thinking, "Who am I to charge people for taking their pictures?" But, I've been asked several times what my sitting fee is and when I'm available, so I figured why not? I love it, and getting paid to do something I love just sounds amazing! I chose the name based on one of my favorite quotes, which is featured in the header of this blog. To me, crossroads represent something new, an obstacle maybe, but also an opportunity to move on to something better than what you had. This year has been a year of change for me, so I thought it was appropriate. I think it's pretty catchy too!

We had family pictures at my grandparents' house on Sunday, and that seemed like the perfect opportunity to try my hand at shooting kids, since we were all dressed up anyway. So I took my little sister out that afternoon and found her to be quite the willing model!

First Couple Shoot!

Two good friends of mine, Victoria and Jordan, let me do a shoot with them last Friday. We had a blast! They're so sweet and they didn't mind me bossing them around, although Victoria said her only complaint was that I apologized too much for bossing them! Haha. I'll have to work on giving orders. I was so nervous though, because up until then I'd never done anything with more than one person. We went out and it was actually easier than I thought it would be! I got some great shots!
